Commenting on the release of the latest unemployment statistics, showing an increase to 109 000 across Wales in the last quarter, Welsh Liberal Democrat Shadow Economy Minister, Jenny Randerson said:
"This is a huge rise on the last quarter which reflects the fact the drip-drip of job losses is rapidly turning into a torrent.
"The Government at both ends of the M4 must urgently review their responses to the economic crisis. Wasteful VAT cuts, bureaucratic training schemes and warm words are not enough. It is time for action."
