Jenny Randerson AM wants the Government to prioritise its spending on the most important parts of the NHS

Welsh Liberal Democrat Health Spokesperson today launched a scathing attack on the health priorities of the Labour/Plaid Welsh Assembly Government. Tackling the First Minister, Jenny Randerson demanded to know why the Government could not find money to treat seriously ill patients, such as those who cannot get treated for Parkinsons Disease through Deep Brain Stimulation.

The First Minister refused to answer the point but instead started shouting.

Jenny Randerson said: "This clearly touched a nerve with Rhodri, he huffed and puffed and shouted a lot but would not answer my point. He knows that it is wrong in the 21st Century that this Government prioritises free paracetomol for Millionaires over critical care for the seriously ill."

"It is time that the First Minister was honest about this and accepted that he got it wrong and that his Government stops putting headline grabbing gimmicks ahead of critical patient care."
