Holocaust Memorial Day is held on January 27th each year

January the 27th is Holocaust Memorial Day. The day is about learning the lessons of the Holocaust to build a better future; it is about tolerance, respect and understanding.

In and around Cardiff there will be several events taking place to mark the Day. Across the wider region, there will also be many commemorative ceremonies, youth performances and related film screenings to name but a few of the different ways communities and people of all ages will be recalling the Holocaust and other Genocides.

By remembering the past and reflecting on the lessons of these events, we can understand how to react to issues that affect our society today.
