Cardiff Central AM Jenny Randerson was today delighted that an agreement has been signed which will guarantee Test Match Cricket for Cardiff

Jenny said "It will help to remind people that it is the England and Wales cricket team not just England, I only hope that Simon Jones will be fit in time for when the Ashes come to Cardiff! It should inspire a new generation of Welsh cricketing legends.

"When I was younger I used to enjoy going to test cricket at Lords and the Oval so I know how exciting it can be and how much it will the raise the profile of Cardiff on the world stage even further.

"Soon Cardiff will have the full portfolio of major sporting venues. Rugby, football and cricket will all have world class facilities. I am impressed with how hard the Council has been working to secure these developments"
