One child under 8 a month is admitted to hospital because of Alcohol - Randerson Wed 16th Apr 2008 Welsh Liberal Democrat Health Spokesperson, Jenny Randerson AM today revealed shocking figures showing that 76 children below the age of eight have been admitted to hospital because of alcohol consumption in the last seven years for which figures are available, amounting to almost one a month. The research followed recent figures uncovered by Ms Randerson showing that every day an average of one child under the age of 16 is admitted to hospital through alcohol consumption.
